Five hundred and eighty-two Heteroptera taxa are listed for the Prairie Ecozone in Canada. This number represents 40.7% of the taxa reported for Canada, and 79.2% of the taxa recorded from the three prairie provinces. The dominant components are species with a Nearctic, excluding Beringia distribution. However, the Great Basin Prairie element is the most distinctive.
